Passages VI - What's your next game plan! - Exhibit in July 2008

Gallery 202 is excited to announce its 6th Passages Series for all of us going through life altering changes - from kids leaving home to job lost to simply aging.

Since 2001, The Passages series has provided an avenue for women to explore and create unique artworks related to every day issues – marriage, trust, helping others , how to stay connected, our inner souls and more.   (Read about all the Passages programs at:   www.gallery202online.com/linkpages/Passages.html)

What’s your next game plan is our next art exhibit for women regardless of their artistic experience or abilities. We provide a fun creative opportunity for the artist to create, especially those who have never tried to be a part of an artistic experience.

Passages VI  is exploring major changes in our life.  Children leaving the nest is normal but doesn’t mean it is easy.  This year’s theme is based off my youngest son going to college (now a junior – oh my!).   Now what am I to do?  Of course, I will continue to grow and live my life but the opportunities are now open and endless – which game plan will I take?

The art process is simple. You will get to choose a game. Then take the game home and create a piece of art by using at least one part of the game. If you need help, please contact us at the gallery and we will be happy to give you lots of support, encouragement and a few easy tips.

Then in July, we will have a special exhibit that will showcase the art created. You may sell your artwork or you may keep it. It’s up to you. Plan on a special reception and lots more fun.

Entry Fee $25, Drop off your completed artwork deliver the last week of June - Wednesday-Saturday. June 25-28th. Please pick up your artwork from July 29-Aug 2. We reserve the right to dispose of any artwork left after Aug 2nd.

Partial proceeds from this event help us with student activities from PTA Reflections, Central Ohio Home School

Passages V - Staying connected 2006

Using a "Mailbox" - we explore how we can stay connected but there is a twist to this years Passage Program.

Passages IV - A Window To Your Soul - 2005

Exploring the art of journaling without using a traditional journal

Passages III - Trust and Surrender 2004

What happens when you start a piece and then surrender it to another artist and trust that they will continue creating.........

Passages II - The Goddess within 2002

Using a female form, artists created the goddess within themselves. Unfortunately, we were unable to have images from that show.

Passages - based on a wedding gown. 2001

This was our first passages program. 25 artists were given wedding gowns and asked to create a piece of art 'Passages-based on a wedding gown. The success of this program led to the above programs. Sadly we do not have images from that show.

Curious about the whole story.......The Passages story!
