Mission Statement

Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. specializes in community art programs for all ages and encourages the interaction between Artists, Patrons and Businesses.

A bit of history......

Gallery 202 (Otterbein Business Center, DBA as Gallery 202), was established in 1994 as a traditional gallery to encourage artists to create, exhibit and explore. Since it's conception, the Gallery has shifted its' focus to emphasizing community art programs and has obtained a 501.c3 non-profit category for the Partners in Art programs. Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. was incorporated in October 2003. The objective is to continue with and develop new community art programs that emphasize cooperation between businesses, artists and patrons of all ages, in participating in the making of art, learning about art/artists and supporting art/artists.

Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. Goals

Goals are to:
1. Provide venues for the interaction between businesses and artists to promote, showcase or develop artistic abilities. The Westerville Area is currently does not have many venues for showcasing artists and their artworks, By working with the schools, libraries, businesses etc., Gallery 202 organizes and promotes interactive business/artist relationships for social and community improvement
2. Provide opportunities for interactive programs between schools and businesses to promote, showcase and develop artistic abilities of children. Funding for the arts in the schools in this area has been severely reduced and many art programs especially at the elementary and middle school levels have been removed from the curriculum. Gallery 202 provides program, consultation, support for school age children within the schools and outside the schools.
3. Provide opportunities to encourage the artistic discovery of the lay persons in return encouraging an understanding and overall support for the community and its artists.
4. Provide opportunities for the preservation of the arts in all aspects in the processes involved in art and the end products (artworks, music scripts, photos etc.)

Community Involvement - yes, even we volunteer for other fun activities

Westerville Area Chamber Music and Arts Festival float. And Renee Kropat, Executive Director of Gallery 202 Partners in Art, was the Chair for the 2006 Music and Arts Festival.

Team Support- we sponsored a Frisbee Team!
This group of young men are in a Park and Rec Frisbee Team. Why them? Hey they were theatre kids in high school and still best buddies. S.N.I.A.B is the team "name". It stands for Seven nuns in a blender - the name of one of the kids production company.
